I want to be a Montessori Parent
Montessori children are unusually adaptable. They have learned to work independently and in groups. Since they have always been encouraged to make decisions, our children are problem solvers who can make good choices and manage their time well. Montessori children are always encouraged to exchange ideas and discuss their work freely with others. Therefore, good communications skills ease the way into new settings. Research shows that self-esteem is a predictor of future success. Children who attend Montessori schools tend to have a positive sense of self-esteem. Self-directed non-competitive activities help children develop good self-images and the confidence to face challenges and change with optimism.
As parents, to say that we want the best for our children is a gross understatement. We want our children to be happy and successful in whatever it is they do. Success measured by the score on a test will not provide a child with the tools they will need to be successful for the rest of their lives. Children need be provided with intangible skills in order to be truly successful. Montessori Academy of Spartanburg provides children with the skills to be successful and the self-confidence to be happy. We are here because we know that we are making the world a better place, one student, one child and one life at a time.
